About Us
Christian Stalberg, Principal
Christian has over twenty-five years experince with computer and telecommunications (telecomputing) technologies including
hardware, software, networks, technology evaluations, project management, documentation and user training. He has designed and built network-based
information system solutions for dozens of national and international
organizations, including Cree Research, Acterna, Nortel, CARE, the
International Diabetes Federation, United States Distance Learning Association,
and Baylor Research Foundation. Stalberg has
conducted feasibility studies on the use of electronic mail and computer
conferencing for various organizations, including the California Energy Commission, Pan American Health Organization, and Union of International Associations.
Between
1984 and 1987, Mr. Stalberg developed EcoNet [pdf file], one of the premier
electronic mail and computer conferencing networks for non-governmental and
non-profit organizations worldwide. In 1985 Baylor
Research Foundation asked him to help organize International Informatics
Access, a conference which looked at problems of, as well as solutions for,
electronic communications for the worldwide health community. In 1986 Stalberg
developed a user manual for Apple Computer
Corporate Grants' national electronic mail network. In 1987, the Pan American Health Organization sent Mr.
Stalberg to Lima, Peru to make arrangements for physicians there to access MEDLINE. In 1988 he
helped design and simulate a home health care field communications system, the
aim of which was to reduce paperwork and increase accuracy. In 1989 he designed
and developed a distance learning telecourse scheduling and ordering system for
the United States Distance Learning Association.
Since
1990, Mr. Stalberg has been providing technical assistance services to
governmental agencies (e.g. FEMA, OES, DCA)
working in the field of disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and
mitigation. In 1994 he performed a technology evaluation for the Advanced
Technology Group of Apple Computer on
electronic performance support systems. Also that year he served as field
project manager for JMS North America during
its evaluation of Nextel Communication's
ESMR network for MCI Communications Corporation.
In early 1995 Stalberg founded Develop.Net, a web hosting and development company and eventually sold that business in September 2000. After a non-compete agreement expired, Stalberg started Web Analysts. Stalberg founded the Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility, Research Triangle Park chapter, and is also
President of the Center for Community Alternatives, a non-profit organization focused on sustainability that is based in Hurdle Mills, North Carolina.
Associates
David Both, President and Senior Consultant for Millennium Technology Consulting LLC, is a seasoned professional with over thirty-five years of experience in the computer industry, much of which is with personal computer hardware, operating systems and networking. He has major strengths in operating systems, technical and non technical problem solving, course development, training, communications skills and Customer support.
David worked for twenty-one years at IBM in various positions including Customer Engineer, Course Development Representative where he wrote the first internal training course on the IBM PC in 1981, Field Manager, and Customer support Representative in which position he provided in-depth technical support for IBM PC products including OS/2.
David worked as a trainer for Red Hat where he taught the RHCE courses and administered the RHCE examinations.
He has also worked for a number of other organizations including:
- MCI-WorldCom
- Interpath
- The State of North Carolina where he ran the State email network, NCMail.
- Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer and lab administrator for Linux products and systems.
David Both currently holds over a dozen technical certifications, including:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Sun Certified System Administrator
- IBM Certified Warp Server Administrator
